The Yard was launched last year in Madden 21 and it'll be returning this year with a few changes. The version for this year will include new locations as well as a brand new ranking mode. EA Sports has enhanced what was once known as Superstar Mode into Face of the Franchise. Even though I was disappointed by Madden 21's face of the franchise's performance EA Sports promised "more customization" for the next edition. This is likely to help improve the game.
Face of the Franchise used to be a mode that focused on the quarterback. But EA Sports now allows users to play as a wide receiver, an RB, or linebacker in Madden 22. You'll be able to relive college moments, attend the NFL Draft, and then play every game in your first season. EA Sports also included an "all-new Player Class and Progress system that lets you select your own skills, ratings and unique attributes with even greater customization options that allow you to make your character."
It's only the second Madden cover to ever feature dual athletes. The first one was for Madden 10"and it included Troy Polamalu and Larry Fitzgerald as both stars from the previous Super Bowl. There are two stars from the previous Super Bowl, but we also see cover models that are duplicates -- the first time in Madden history that we've seen Madden 18 was the first Madden 18 cover and Madden 20 featured Patrick Mahomes cover the Madden 18.
