The Phaser 3100 is a GDI printer. The Gutenprint drivers do not support such printers.

You should be able to print with the Xerox drivers provided for OS X 10.4. To make the drivers work in OS X 10.6, install the drivers from Xerox. Then in a Terminal window (/Applications/Terminal) run the following commands--

sudo chown -R root:admin /Library/Printers/Xerox/

sudo chmod 775 /Library/Printers/Xerox/filter/rastertoprinter

You will have to force any 64 bit applications to run in 32 bit mode to get the full functionality for the drivers.

разобрался) спасибо) надо было просто драйвер от 10.06 через app утилиту открывать
